This is the Capstone of Days 1 -17 (which try to reveal Jesus' good character to imperfect people)!  Day 17 is also my very favorite episode because you see so much of Jesus' goodness to help Peter over come failure, grow and succeed!

Peter has an epic journey of successes, failures and sins while walking with Jesus. However, the wonderful thing is that Jesus never rejects Peter or pushes him away like a religious Pharisee would. Jesus constantly instructs, strengthens, challenges and even disciples Peter but always to build him up and make him stronger and more emotionally healthy.

If everybody knew Jesus was this kind of person there would be a lot more encouragement and joy in the "church" and in the world and a lot more goodness and care for our fellow human beings, whoever they are!
