2 Kings 11 through 13 discusses the reign of Joash and his son Amaziah, who were able to survive a plot to kill off the royal line by Jezebel and Ahab's child Athaliah. The people of Israel still choose against God, but He still will not leave them. But after continuous mercy and rejection God's patience is wearing thin.
