The king’s men plundered the Syrian camp and the city had food. The mother of the boy who was healed by Elisha returned to the city after fleeing during the famine. The king restored to her all she owned, and all the produce that was gathered from her land while she was away. Ben-hadad, king of Syria became ill. Elisha said the king would recover, but he would not live. Hazael killed the king and became king of Syria. Jehoram, son of Jehoshaphat, became king of Judah and reigned eight years. Then Ahaziah, son of Jehoram reigned as king of Judah for one year.
