Guiding Scriptures:Â Psalm 7:17 I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness;
Hebrews 11:1 "Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen."
Written By Reason A. Chandler
David and Paul have a lot in common as you read the accounts of their ministry. Both were men and chosen by God to do a particular thing in the Kingdom's plan to redeem humanity. The Jews first and also the gentiles were a part of God's redemption plan. They both made significant mistakes on their way to God's purpose for their lives.
Before his name change, Paul was against the teachings of Christ Jesus, so he was on the wrong side. David, a man after God's own heart, was found guilty by God himself of adultery and murder. These two, at different points in their relationship with God, jeopardized the righteousness of said relationship. Fortunately for them and us, God is a faithful God who loves us and proclaims there is nothing that can separate us from His Love.
