David wanted to build a permanent house for the ark. He told Nathan the prophet his plans. God spoke to Nathan and sent him to tell David he was not the one to build the permanent house, but one of his sons would build the permanent home for the ark. David praised God for blessing Israel, for blessing him, and for the promise to bless his descendants. David conquered his enemies and dedicated the silver and gold that he carried from the nations to the Lord. He reigned over all Israel. He structured his kingdom to provide justice and equity to all his people.
