Day 196: Chasing the Wind — Ecclesiastes 1–3 | Bible In A Year (CSB)

Listen Later

In the opening chapters of Ecclesiastes, the Teacher explores the apparent futility of life “under the sun.” Wisdom, work, and pleasure all seem meaningless in the face of death and time’s unrelenting march. Yet in the midst of this tension, we find a call to enjoy life’s simple gifts and to recognize that everything has its season—ordained by God’s sovereign hand.Questions:1. Ecclesiastes 1:14 says, “I have seen everything that is done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and a striving after wind.” What does this reveal about the limits of human achievement and understanding?2. In Ecclesiastes 3, we’re told that God has “put eternity into man’s heart.” How do you think this longing for something eternal shapes our desires, frustrations, and search for meaning?3. These chapters encourage us to enjoy work and daily life as gifts from God. How can we learn to embrace life with gratitude even when we don’t fully understand God’s plan?Use my affiliate link to get the CSB apologetics study bible hereMy video review the CSB Apologetics Study BibleAll our links are here
