Welcome to Day 2189 of Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom The Gospel of John – 41 – Reactions to the Resurrection – Daily Wisdom Putnam Church Message – 01/01/2023 The Gospel of John – Part 5: Vindication Of The Word – Reactions to the Resurrected Lord   Today is a new year, a new beginning as we continue our series on the Good News according to John the Apostle. Before we started our Advent series, we celebrated resurrection day when the disciples found the tomb of Jesus empty. January 1st is a perfect day to begin the final three messages from John. It was a new beginning for all the followers of Christ. As the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:17, This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! Today, we will examine the “Reactions to the Resurrected Lord.” Our scripture for today is John 20:11-31, starting on page 1685 in the Pew Bible. I will back up and include verse 10 in our last message. Follow along as I read, starting with verse 10.  Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene 11 Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” 18 Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her. Jesus Appears to His Disciples 19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. 21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive...
