Guiding Scripture: Proverbs 21:11 ‘When a mocker is punished, the simple gain wisdom; by paying attention to the wise they get knowledge. ‘
Be Teachable
Written by: Torrie Slaughter
Life teaches us many lessons. If we are paying attention, we will learn the micro-movements of our day and how they impact our behavior. Why is that important? Because it is in the details of how we treat ourselves and others that our minds train to repeat.
For example, if we receive Christ into our hearts, it is challenging to remain oblivious. (2 Corinthians 5:17) Jesus imprints His character onto our hearts, and we become new creators.
Proverbs 21:11 reminds us to gain wisdom by intentionally seeking instruction. It is a godly attribute to learn from those who are knowledgeable.
