Saints in a Year

Day 232: Saint Silverius

Listen Later

Today the Church honors Saint Silverius, a pope who remained faithful to Christ despite false accusations, exile, and suffering.

In this episode of Saints in a Year, Saul reflects on perseverance, injustice, and the importance of remaining faithful even when the world turns against us.

๐Ÿ“– Scripture

Revelation 2:10

"Faithfulness to Christ matters more than success in the eyes of the world."

๐Ÿ’ฌ Thought to Remember

Saint Silverius lost his position, his freedom, and ultimately his life. Yet he remained faithful to God, and that faithfulness is why the Church remembers him today.

๐Ÿ™ Prayer

Lord Jesus, through the example of Saint Silverius, help us remain faithful during times of suffering, misunderstanding, and injustice. Give us the courage to trust You when life becomes difficult and the strength to persevere in faith no matter the cost. May we always place our hope in You.
