Today on Meditating the Word, Jerusalem is compared to an adulterous wife, and the riddle of two eagles and a vine.
This is Day 243. Today we are reading Ezekiel chapters 16-17.
Father God, though we were deep in sin, you spoke to us "Live!" You spread Your righteousness over us and covered our sin. You pledged Yourself to us and entered into a covenant with us. And we became Yours. You have put Your majesty on us and prospered us. Forgive us, Father, for the times we have trusted in ourselves thinking we had somehow earned Your favor. Thank You for Your unmerited favor. Help us to always walk in Your ways and to give You all the glory. Amen
We are reading the entire Bible this year in the order the events actually occured chronologically. You can download a copy of the reading plan from blueletterbible.com.
