Guiding Scripture: Ecclesiastes 4:1-2 “Again I saw all the oppressions that are done under the sun. And behold, the tears of the oppressed, and they had no one to comfort them! On the side of their oppressors there was power, and there was no one to comfort them. And I thought the dead who are already dead more fortunate than the living who are still alive.”

Evil simply will not prevail. We often must be reminded of this truth. The author of Ecclesiastes discusses how evil things have become due to the oppressors.
The oppressed have no one to comfort them. Things were so bad he even says the dead and unborn are better off not to have seen the evil taking place. This book was written centuries before Jesus was born, and I could only imagine what the author saw to make him declare such harsh sentiments. But we need only peek at the evil happening in our current day to maybe get an idea.
