Isaiah 1:1-2:22 introduces us to the prophet Isaiah, who was called by God to bear witness to divine visions and deliver a message of warning and hope. It provides a snapshot of the moral and spiritual condition of Israel and Judah and emphasizes the need for repentance and righteousness. Amidst the warnings, Isaiah presents a vision of a future characterized by peace and unity under God's guidance. Isaiah's words continue to resonate with us today, urging us to seek righteousness, turn to God, and envision a world marked by His peace and justice.

“The book of Isaiah is full of prophecies that were not just for the people in that era but also us today. As we begin reading this book, in the first two chapters, we see that God has used Isaiah in an attempt to grab the attention of the Israelites.
God is frustrated with their daily choices. By this time, God had established commandments on how to properly present a sacrifice to Him, how He wanted them to live, and so on. They knew the “rules.” They knew what to do, and they were doing it.
So what’s the problem? Weren’t they being obedient to what God had commanded? “- by Stephanie Bright
