Although the Lord found no worthy king left of the line of David to rule in Ezekiel 19 and 20, for "no strong branch is left on it fit for a ruler’s scepter", God still holds promise to the line ruling forevermore; His own son, Jesus, planted amongst the earth as a strong cedar.
