Boasting is commonplace in a world of comparison. People want to make more of themselves, but frankly, we are not all that and a bag of chips. Our worth comes from the One Who alone is worthy of all praise. Boasting leads to roasting if we are not careful. We have no right to boast for all we have has been given to us.
Bible Reading: Proverbs 27-28
Verse of the day: Proverbs 27:1, "Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring."
Word of the day: Boast. It is the Hebrew word: הָלַל (haw-lal').
It means to praise, glory, to brag on.
