Today we continue our reading of the songs of ascent. These songs proclaim the blessings of the Lord on those who fear Him. Those who hate the city of the Lord have not prevailed. They will be cut off from the earth. There is redemption in the Lord for those who wait and hope in Him. The hope of the Lord brought peace to the soul. The Lord chose Zion, the place of worship. He will bless His people and will honor His promises. The psalmist called for worship and praise to the Lord for He was the maker of heaven and earth.
