Solomon encouraged the reader to trust in the Lord instead of relying on human understanding. Wisdom and understanding will lead to blessings, longer life, and honor. The wicked do not possess wisdom and they are cursed by God. Sons are encouraged to be attentive to the instruction of fathers which also leads to wisdom. Guard instruction and learn from it. Wisdom will lead you to a firm path, and blessings. Your life will be as light, while the way of the wicked will be full of darkness.
