Tragedies are often the hardest thing.

Faith is often the hardest thing.

Scripture is replete with dramatic examples of;

Rescue from the depths, as deep as we can imagine, 

to miraculous results, which give the highest glory to God, and as the narrator of the hobbit says, or close to what he said,
