Day 29 of 100: Setting realistic expectations

Listen Later

What’s up my Kate's Take listeners! I’m ecstatic to be here with you today! Today is day 29 of 100.

If you’re ready to tackle setting realistic expectations, then you’re in the right place.

First, let’s call on our 5 questions.

These questions are the bookends to your day - answer 1 and 2 in the morning, and 3 - 5 at night.

  1. What’s one thing I’m grateful for?
  2. What’s one thing I’ll accomplish today that will bring me one step closer to my goal?
  3. What’s something that’s working well for me right now?
  4. What’s something that’s not working well for me right now?
  5. How can I either solve what’s not working right now, or get rid of it?

Setting realistic expectations will make a world of difference in your day-to-day life. Instead of ending your day feeling disappointed and resentful over the things you weren’t able to accomplish, you can end your day having accomplished EVERYTHING you set out to do, which builds powerful momentum and confidence.

Every time you’re evaluating the time and the resources you have available, remember to be realistic. You set the expectations you have, which means you have the power to change those expectations at any time.

I hope today’s episode all about expectations came at just the right time for you.
