[0:40] Soothing the System:
Welcome to Day 3. In my own healing journey, I learned a vital lesson: our greatest asset is our health. And the gatekeeper to our healing is our autonomic nervous system—or Jiritsu-shinkei. Today, we are going to intentionally shift out of survival mode and into a state of deep rest.
[1:30] The Breath Work:
Often, we live with our foot on the gas pedal. Right now, we are giving the body permission to hit the brakes. Let’s "sculpt" our breath into a new rhythm: inhaling for a count of 4, and exhaling for a count of 6. This longer exhale is the key to unlocking your calm.
[2:45] Resetting:
Inhale 2, 3, 4. Exhale softly 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Notice your heartbeat slowing. Notice the softening in your jaw. You are actively healing your body right now.
[4:00] Closing:
Take a moment to thank your body for its resilience. Return to your day with a clear, calm headspace. See you tomorrow at the Mind Spa.
