So much of our life is spent waiting. Anything good you have in your life right now is something you probably had to wait for. Waiting on the Lord has been one of the hardest things I’ve done in my life. When waiting is finally resolved into the sweetness of fulfilled promises or the setback of disappointment, we can look back and see the result of our waiting. How we wait matters. What we learn during these seasons cannot be taught through ease and comfort. In the waiting, God is good and He is present.

Isaiah 30:18 ESV:

Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you,

and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you.
