Jeremiah was a prophet through four decades of kings in Judah. Jeremiah made excuses not to answer God’s call on his life. God called Jeremiah to pluck up, to destroy, and to build. God confirmed His presence with Jeremiah. The people of Israel were condemned because they turned from the Lord even though He saved them from their bondage and gave them the land He promised. They were proud of their sinful ways, yet they asked the Lord to save them in their time of need. Jeremiah shared the message that they would be punished for their sin.
