The Lord condemned the works of Jehoiakim, king of Judah. The Lord used Jeremiah to warn them not to worship other gods, but they ignored the warnings. He warned them that the Lord would use Nebuchadnezzar against them. The Lord’s wrath was declared against them because they continually turned from Him. The Lord sent Jeremiah to speak to His people again. He warned them to turn back to the Lord or experience judgement. The priests became angry and declared Jeremiah worthy of death for speaking destruction against Judah. The priests were reminded of previous prophesy and how the Lord was faithful to His promises. The priests were convinced to spare Jeremiah’s life.
