Welcome back to our 36‑day journey through the story of Scripture. For the past 35 days, we’ve been walking step‑by‑step with God’s people—from creation, to covenant, to captivity, and finally into freedom. Today, we step into the wilderness… a place where faith is refined, trust is tested, and God’s provision becomes unmistakably clear.

In Exodus 16–18, Israel has left Egypt, but Egypt hasn’t quite left their hearts. Faced with hunger, thirst, and uncertainty, the people cry out—and God responds with generosity beyond anything they could imagine. We’ll watch as manna falls from heaven, water flows from a rock, and a weary nation learns what it means to depend solely on God.

We’ll also see new forms of leadership emerge. Moses finds himself overwhelmed, stretched thin, and deeply human. Enter Jethro, whose wisdom helps reshape how God’s people will be guided for generations. And along the way, Israel fights its first battle—a reminder that freedom is beautiful, but not always easy.
