Welcome back to Day 37 of our journey through the history of the Bible.
In these chapters, God gives very practical laws about how His people are to treat one another—laws about restitution, responsibility, fairness, and mercy. We see His heart for the vulnerable, His concern for integrity, and His desire that His people reflect His character in everyday life.
Then we move into a moment of breathtaking significance: the covenant is formally confirmed. Moses reads God’s words to the people, sacrifices are offered, and Israel commits themselves to walk in obedience. Moses then ascends the mountain, stepping into the presence of God for forty days and forty nights as God prepares to give instructions for worship and the tabernacle.
It’s a beautiful and foundational passage—the joining of law, worship, promise, and relationship.
So settle in, open your Bible, and let’s continue our journey together with Exodus 22 to 24.
