The Lord condemned Tyre because they spoke against Jerusalem. Ezekiel prophesied that Tyre would be overtaken by the king of Babylon and the city would be destroyed, never to return. Tyre would be put in the place of the dead and exist no more. Many nations traded with Tyre and would be left without necessary provisions. Kings and nations would be left without luxury items that were produced in Tyre.
