The Lord declared through Ezekiel the destruction of Egypt and Pharaoh. The land would be desolate, and their destruction would be a horror to other nations. There would be great mourning over the loss of Egypt. The slain would be sent to the place of death with others who denied the Lord. Ezekiel was a watchman over the Lord’s people to warn them and to speak what the Lord commanded. Ezekiel would be saved from the Lord’s wrath because of his obedience. The Lord desired the wicked to turn and receive grace and live. The wicked would be punished. All would know that He is the Lord God, and Ezekiel was a true prophet.
