Day 4: Post-Secondary Education (For Students With Disabilities) - Transition to Adulthood Week

Listen Later

This was pre-recorded during our 11th Annual Transition to Adulthood  (for students with disabilities) Parent Conference Week from 11/16/2020 –  11/20/2020.

What will our students with disabilities do after high school? What are  the options and how can they succeed if they decide to go to college.

What many people don't realize is that once you reach college, whether  there is a need that requires an IEP or section 504 accommodation plan,  the world of services changes. Get tips on how to coach your student  (whether it's templates or technology), to find the school that's the  greatest fit and get what they need to have a successful college  experience.

While college may not be everyone, there are more options than parents  realize!

Listen to this great Q&A with Kerri Collins, Southern Regional  Transition Center; Keri Rossi-D’entremont, RI College Disabilities  Services, and RIPIN Transition Conference Team.
