📌Read Today's Passages (February 9, 2022)
Guiding Scripture: Matthew 26:40-41,"Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter. 41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Contributing Writer: Robin Lambert
When you are exhausted from trying to be stronger than you feel, follow Jesus’ example. Oh, how great the temptation to despair. Your soul becomes depressed and disheartened. Your faith staggers under the relentless continual trials that come into your life. You cry, "I cannot take this any longer. Why has God allowed this?”
He tells you not to lose hope, but what are you supposed to do when you are at this point? What did Jesus do in the Garden of Gethsemane?
(Matthew 26:36-39)
Jesus, the omnipotent Son of God poured out His heart to His Father in prayer.
