Disciples are like branches connected to the vine (Christ), and they bear fruit. Unbelievers are not connected to the vine and will bear no fruit. Disciples love one another as Christ loved them and gave His life for them. Disciples will be persecuted just as Christ was persecuted. The Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth. Unbelievers are without excuse. The Holy Spirit will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgement. Jesus explained He would be leaving, but they would see Him again and their joy would return. The world brings tribulation, but Christ has overcome the world.
