Timothy joined Paul and Silas on a journey led by the Holy Spirit to share the gospel. Paul, through the power of the Spirit, led Lydia to believe in Christ. Paul cast a spirit out of a woman who was a fortune teller. Her owners, out of anger, stirred the crowds against Paul and Silas. Paul and Silas were jailed. Paul shared the gospel with other prisoners. An earthquake caused the doors and chains to open for the prisoners to escape, but none of them escaped. The guard asked Paul how he could be saved. After hearing the gospel, he believed and was baptized. The magistrates, after learning Paul and Silas were Roman citizens, apologized and asked Paul and Silas to leave quietly, and they left in peace.
