Pretty action packed today. With Moses dead, Joshua is appointed to take his place as leader. Israel goes around following wherever God clears out the people before them, seizing the towns and villages. They do the famous march around Jericho, the walls fall, and they invade and take the city seemingly quite easily.

Joshua dies, and judges(kind of like kings) come up one after the other. For most of them, the Israelites do okay, then as soon as the judge dies, they throw themselves headlong back into sin. This constant cycle of freedom, sin and rebellion and idolatry, and slavery, crying out to God Who for some reason refuses to give up on them rescues them again, over and over again the same cycle.
