Paul greeted the church at Corinth and recognized the grace of God shown to them. God provided His church with every spiritual gift leaving it lacking in nothing. The church is called to be unified in Christ. Paul was burdened with divisions in the church. God’s grace is poured out on those who hear and accept His Word, but His Word is foolishness to those who will not hear. We boast in the Lord, not in ourselves. Paul’s speech was centered on Christ, and Him crucified. We do not understand the mind of God in our own wisdom, but the Spirit helps us in our understanding. Our wisdom comes from the Holy Spirit.
