On Day 8 we pray that Muslims would seek the Righteousness that only Jesus can provide.

Day eight, because fasting is a pillar of Islam, a Muslim who interrupts or cannot complete the fast is required to either complete the fast at a later date or pay a 'fidya' a ransom for each day missed. Let's pray that God's plan of salvation through Jesus' death is made known to Muslims who are seeking salvation from their sins, rather than through the burden of inevitably incomplete obedience. 

Father your Word tells us that the Righteousness that you desire has been made known and that your righteousness is given to us through faith, by grace, in Jesus Christ whom you put forth as a sacrifice of atonement for our sins. This is astonishing news! Good News! And we ask that you would have mercy on Muslims who are seeking righteousness through fasting by revealing to them your son Jesus Christ who is our righteousness. Lord, raise up workers who will proclaim a faithful gospel witness in the Muslim World. We ask this in your name Jesus. Amen.
