Moses continues to outline the importance of obeying God's law in Deuteronomy 3 and 4, speaking of false idols, and not enforcing layered regulations and traditions on top of God's law. Moses specifies that although the people will fall short of the Lord, which will lead to their own exile, God in His mercy will never cut them off entirely, and freedom can be found when they choose Him. For if you seek the Lord, you will find Him.
