We are in earthly bodies for a temporary time. God prepares us, protects us, and empowers us as we face the challenges of this life. We will one day go to our eternal home where we will inherit new bodies. God has given us the Holy Spirit as a promise until we are united with Him. If we are in Christ, we have been made right with God. We are now ambassadors for Christ. Paul experienced pain and suffering for the sake of sharing the gospel, but many still refused to hear. Believers are set apart for the glory of God. Paul called believers to honor this separation in relationships and in worship. He compared the relationship of believers and unbelievers to that of light and darkness. They have nothing in common and do not serve the same purpose.
