60 Second Prayers for Muslims during Ramadan

Day 9 - Jesus Who Freely Forgives

Listen Later

On Day 9 we pray for Muslims to see and know Jesus who freely forgives our sin and wrong-doings.

Transcript:

Day 9: Ramadan is a time for abstinence during the daylight hours—from food, water, and sexual intercourse. If a Muslim is sexually active before sunset, they must fast continuously for 60 more days after Ramadan, or feed 60 of the poor.Forgiveness in Islam is earned, not given. Let’s pray that those diligently seeking to obey God would find rest and forgiveness in the work of Christ.

Father, we know that there is no way we could make ourselves right before you or appease your justice on our own. We remember our Muslim friends before you today and ask that you would reveal yourself as the God who sees and freely forgives because of the blood of Jesus. Let those who are abstaining and starving themselves in hope of divine pardon and freedom from the weight of their sins- find you. May the long road to self-earned forgiveness become increasingly burdensome and wearying and may it cast our muslim friends into the path of Grace. Jesus, you are our one hope for reconciliation, there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved so we cry out to you on behalf of Muslims today that you would  be their Pardon, their Salvation, Hope, and Sufficiency. You are ours. We pray this in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Today consider meditating on: 1 John 1:5-10.

If you know a Muslim, ask them, with the intent to listen: What makes a person impure before God? How and what removes impurities?
