God gave laws concerning the Sabbatical Year, a time when debts would be forgiven. Israel was told to trust God, and He would provide for them as long as they served Him and obeyed His commands. Moses continued to remind the children of the adult generation that left Egypt to obey the commands of God and remember His provisions. Israel was to continue to observe Passover, the Feast of Weeks, and the Feast of Booths. Justice should be followed, and worship should remain pure and undefiled. Idols were not to be worshiped by God’s people.
