2006 – In February 14 (http://wikazine.com/index.php?title=February_14), 2005, 3 former Paypal employees started a website that let you upload and share your video. YouTube (http://dayintechhistory.com/tag/youtube)brought a new idea of putting your creations on the internet. However, their creation got very popular. It cost a lot of money to run and the company couldn’t keep up with costs. Enter: Google. They purchased the site from the founders for $1.65 billion on October 9 (http://wikazine.com/index.php?title=October 9). Today marked the completion of this acquisition.
