Day of Indignation arrives, one of #outrage, anger, and #fury of the #Lord. It is over the #sins of the #people, their #priests, #prophets, and the #politicalleaders as well. With descriptions saying of the dead that they “shall be cast out”, “their stink shall come up”, and “mountains shall be melted with their #blood” we have more than enough vivid descriptions to let us know what is going on. This is the description by #Isaiah. Would you believe any people today actually believing such a #judgment could happen to them? Day of Indignation is a phrase bringing in a section that can scare the yell out of many. We are in Part 88 of our Isaiah study and in chapter 34. For many chapters we have been dealing with Assyria, her judgment, her threat, and the devastation done by their Armies. Not to forget how the army was cut down and their king killed. In time, Babylon will come into play here in judgment upon Judah, her captivity, and eventual release by Cyrus, king of Persia, today’s Iran.
