Pastor Byers struggled to understand Day Two until God reminded him of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which symbolizes pure doctrine. Unleavened bread represents truth without mixture, while leaven represents false teaching. Jesus warned of the leaven of the Pharisees, meaning corrupt doctrine that spreads subtly. Day Two is about “rightly dividing the Word of truth,” separating truth from error. Many doctrinal disputes arise because people cling to one side of a truth without seeing the other. Pastor Byers urges believers to gather Scriptures supporting the opposite view to gain balance. Pure doctrine is essential because truth is a Person—Christ—and error is a spirit. Without doctrinal purity, believers cannot progress to spiritual maturity.
