UPDATE: DAYTON AREA PHONE OUTAGE
News Release from Yamhill Co. Sheriff's Office
Posted on FlashAlert: October 14th, 2016 8:31 PM
Frontier Telephone has advised that dial tone has been restored for landline phones in the Dayton area. The disruption was caused by an accidental cut fiber at 2nd and Madison in the City of Lafayette. Nearby residents are currently experiencing a disruption in Comcast internet services - however telephone has been restored. Technicians are in the area and continue to work to restore internet services.
Our area is expecting another weather event tomorrow morning. Citizens are reminded that in any situation that they are unable to get through to 9-1-1 on a landline phone, they should hang up and try again on a cellular phone. If one service is down, the other may be available.
If still unable to reach 9-1-1, YCOM can be reached via their 24-hour non emergency number 503-434-6500.
