Day Walking
Mellow out
with me now,
as I sing with glee,
just a tribute
to a really nice day,
as of late becoming
few and far between
let me take notes
for you as I play
a review of what
life sent my way.
Sun coming up new
slowly melting the dew
of diamond glints
on the grass blades
into residues.
warming the cold and stiff
bones of the creatures
slowing rising once from
their nocturnal sleepers,
sleep dirt fading away.
Butterflies frolic
as bumblebees slave
for their honey,
all buzzed and just rushing
oh, Lord, don't we all slave
just like them sad bees
for our honey,
chasing the green
not of fields
but of money.
Then my eyes
Caught the beauty
of a rare moment blessed
a young girl,
in the meadow,
loveliest…..
blonde goddess,
with sapphire blue eyes
that rival the skies
picking daisies
in such a sensuous way.
Smiling sweetly
as I pass her by,
sharing a dream
I'll savor much later,
when I’m sleeping tonight.
as I head off to bask
in the sun's warm caresses
that call me to follow
it's convoluted path,
across the perfect skies,
on a long Harley ride.
Escaping from a
lesser day wrath.
Let night come
In dark curtains falling
let the stars burn brilliant,
but they will never shine
as lovely as this nice day,
when nothing really happened
except the peace
that infused my soul.
Yeah, nothing really happened
