Adversity, trouble, suffering in our lives tends to lead us toward feeling cast down, heavy hearted, and anxious. That is the normal human way. But Moses prayed, "Lord, teach us to rejoice in every day of adversity! Help me to have a happy heart when my days are the most trying!" This is a theme throughout the scripture. In today's discussion we will introduce this truth from Psalm 90, setting up the follow-on discussion for next time.
