On this Mount of Transfiguration (Matthew 17:1-13), we have some disciples who are really missing the point and really need to learn the truth. We are not talking about nominal Christians, we are not dealing with SMO's (you know, Sunday Morning Only's), we are talking about Peter, James, and John, the inner circle of the inner circle, and yet, devoted as they were, they still had to learn, and keep learning. They had been raised as devout Jews, now they loved Jesus, but you can't put new wine in old wineskins!
