DC has been BUSY… and so have we.

This week on DC Junktion, Mike and Matt finally sit down for a full conversation episode to catch up on the latest DC chaos.

We break down the My Adventures with Superman Season 3 trailer and why the show keeps finding fresh ways to reinvent Superman lore. Then we dig into the newest Lanterns teaser and why it completely changed the conversation around the series.

From there, we jump into James Gunn confirming Supergirl’s growing importance in the DCU and speculate about what that could mean for Man of Tomorrow and the larger Gods & Monsters storyline.

And of course… we HAD to talk about The Batman Part II.

With Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson officially joining the cast, filming now underway, and Long Halloween theories running wild, we discuss what Matt Reeves might actually be building in Gotham.

The Clayface teaser has officially changed the conversation around the DCU.

This week we talk about the first Clayface footage, the horror tone, how Gotham fits into James Gunn’s larger DC Universe, and why this movie already feels different from anything DC has tried before.

We also get into Gunn’s comments about how different genres can exist inside one shared universe, Matt Reeves producing more Batman related projects, Man of Tomorrow officially starting production, new Lanterns promo, the upcoming Lego Batman game, and a quick shoutout to Matt’s comic work on Phantom Hawk: Resolute!

Adria Arjona has officially joined Superman: Man of Tomorrow in an unknown role, giving us a new piece of the DCU puzzle to speculate on.

We also break down the first footage from Clayface shown at CinemaCon, what we know so far, and what it might signal for Gotham in the DCU before Batman is even fully established.

From there, the conversation shifts into a bigger picture discussion about DC animation. It feels like it has taken a step back recently, and we get into why that might be, along with some concerns about how James Gunn is currently promoting DC projects.

James Gunn hit Threads with a fresh round of DCU answers, so we go full Gunn Show this week.

We dig into what Gunn said about DCU Batman and The Brave and the Bold, how they are avoiding stepping on Matt Reeves’ Batman plans, and what that means for the timeline on getting concrete DCU Batman details. We also hit the latest on Superman: Man of Tomorrow, including what is and is not being telegraphed right now, plus some production notes that help paint the bigger picture.

Happy 2026. DC news is slow right now, so we did what we do best and talked Batman.

We touch on the Sebastian Stan casting chatter, where Matt Reeves is at with The Batman Part II, and how the DCU is still laying groundwork with Gods and Monsters and Clayface finally bringing us to Gotham. Then we get into the main event, a full binge rewatch of Batman The Animated Series and the Red Sky season, what holds up, what hits different as adults, and why this era of DC animation still sets the bar.

We also talk Robin and Nightwing dynamics, Batgirl’s bigger role, the Superman and Supergirl crossover, and whether Batman Beyond is next on the rewatch list.

New episodes every Friday at 4:30 PM ET.

This is our final episode of the year.

With DC in a moment of transition and the holidays slowing everything down, we decided to close things out with a relaxed, all DC conversation driven by listener questions. We talk about comics, movies, animation, fandom, Batman, Superman, and why DC keeps pulling us back year after year.

This episode covers everything from confusing comic storylines and underused characters to the strengths and growing pains of DC right now. No breaking news, no hot takes for clicks, just a genuine end of year conversation about the stories and characters we love.

Thank you to everyone who supported the show this year. We’re taking a short break and will be back in the new year.
