DC Studios has announced chapter one of its slate with several new projects. There were some unexpected announcements and hope for some of the current slate of films. What will the Gods and Monsters chapter bring?

On January 31, James Gunn and DC Studios met their deadline for the promised reveal within the month of January. With it came five new films and five new television series. As some of us expected, some of the announcements were completely out of left field. Who would have thought that the Creature Commandos would be getting an animated series to be part of the beginning of the new direction?

Amongst the new film projects was one that we here at The Batman Universe will be taking a lot of interest in; The Brave and the Bold. This film is set to introduce a different version of Batman with Damian Wayne’s Robin. Could this be the start of the Bat-Family appearing on the silver screen?

There were also some details on how the current films set for 2023 factor into the new slate, along with some interesting comments about how things were left for Safran and Gunn to pick up.
