Preparing for my graduation and the upcoming Nurses Against Violence Unite march, excitement is building!

DC...we have arrived!

Violence is at an all-time high among nurses according to studies and many incidents are not reported. The issues begin from the foundation of the nursing curriculum and the lack of resources not given to those on the front line of this opioid epidemic or adequate mental health education. Compounding this issue is the lack of reporting of incidents due to the fear of organizational retaliation. 
Nurses and all of those on the front line are suffering and it is time to make the change that healthcare needs, otherwise we will continue to lose nurses and nursing staff.
