The session begins with the party in a state of haste as they prepare to leave Cortillia following a political shift: the Emperor is in a coma, and the Grand Duchess Majira Zin'Drake has become the acting Empress. Ellie and Ciara lead a stealth mission to recover Ciara's armor from a smithy before they depart. To move undetected, several party members use magic to transform into animals—Ellie and Luna become dogs, while another becomes a cat disguised as a tabby. Despite some minor mishaps involving knocked-over tools, they successfully retrieve the armor and leave a note for Kenaris' mom.

Once the party reconvenes, they receive news about an upcoming trial in Lychester, the capital of the human kingdom. This is the trial for Luna. They realize they have roughly seven to eight days to reach the capital to attend. The group plans to meet at Restarumn, a wealthy retirement community near the border of the Dwarven Alliance and the Arcane Empire. There is also a brief, heartwarming check-in on family members back in the town of Virkis, where repairs are moving quickly due to the handy nature of the tradespeople there.

The party meets Lisster and Endellia, members of Ileh Cagaan ( AKA Blood Guards or Honor guards.) They directly under the emperor's command and have a latent command to escort Ari out of the country and to the border into safe hands in the even that he becomes unable to protect her.

During the trek through the Underdark, the party faces environmental challenges like a cave-in caused by a recent earthquake. They use skill checks to traverse the rubble, and at one point, Lisster "princess carries" Ari to assist her.

Once on the surface In a pivotal moment, Ellie uses Greater Restoration—facilitated by a diamond provided by Ari—to heal a merman named Aloksha, whose body was half-petrified. After resting, the group reaches the coast. They encounter Captain Drake and Captain Penelope White, eventually deciding to travel by ship toward the Dwarven Alliance. The session concludes with the party preparing for a high-speed ride on Direwolves to ensure they reach Lychester in time for the trial
