They begin to explore the city and have a uneasy meeting with one of the locals. one of whom, has a particular interest in Adlanna. They also need to prepare for Ryurick's grandmother's volcanic funeral! As the damsels are exploring the city and hear word of a "Male Fighting Competition," in the Sandpit. The prize: A rare rainbow shell! Ellie makes a rather convincing male but not a convincing sword wielder. So they turn to an old acquaintance.
