In this diary entry, I discuss accepting the difference between relatives and family. Having been in Chicago recently, I’ve learned that there are certain people who know how to love unconditionally and others that don’t. I’ve been rejected and neglected by relatives, but loved and embraced by family. A recent lesson learned: learn what you can and cannot control. you cannot control people, places or most things. But you can control who you show up for, where you show up, and the things you allow in your space. Sometimes, even people who claim to love you will not go out there way to help you. It’s really me, God & the universe in this thing called life…
